Embed the status forecaster

Let your readers project their own elite-status requalification, right inside your page. No signup, no loyalty passwords, and an attribution link back that is part of the widget.

What this widget does

The embed is the same requalification forecaster that powers milesmosaic.com/forecast/, running the identical projection engine as the full page, so a figure your reader sees in the embed and a figure they would see on the real forecaster always agree. A visitor picks a loyalty programme and a goal tier, enters what they have already earned this cycle and what they already have booked, and the widget projects whether that goal is reached, on the spot, without sending those entries anywhere: the calculation runs entirely in the reader's own browser. The widget does send one small beacon back to us when it loads, reporting which site it is embedded on; see the FAQ below for exactly what that beacon carries and does not carry.

Copy this code

Paste this into your page. It renders a self-contained widget covering every programme Miles Mosaic tracks.

Embed snippet

Lock it to one programme

Writing about a specific programme? Add ?program=<slug> to the embed URL and the widget opens directly on that programme, with the picker hidden. For example, for aa advantage:

Embed snippet, locked to one programme

The full list of programme slugs the lock accepts:

An empty or unrecognised slug is not an error: the widget simply falls back to the full, multi-programme version.

The attribution link

Every embed shows a small "Powered by Miles Mosaic" line beneath the widget, linking back to the live forecaster. That line is rendered by the embed itself, outside the part of the page any embed parameter controls, so it is not something a query string can hide or remove. We ask that it stays visible: it is how a reader who wants their own forecast finds their way back to the source.

Licence

Free to embed on any site, commercial or personal, under the terms at milesmosaic.com/about/terms/. No API key, no registration, no rate limit beyond ordinary fair use.

Frequently asked questions

Does the embed collect any data about my visitors?
Almost none, and nothing personal. The widget sets no cookie and reads no browser storage, and the numbers a visitor types in, miles earned, trips booked, never leave their browser: the forecast itself is calculated entirely client-side. Once, when the embed loads, it does send one small network beacon back to Miles Mosaic reporting the referring page's domain, for example "yourblog.example", so we can measure which sites are using the widget. That beacon carries the referrer's hostname only, never the full URL, any query string, or anything else about the visitor, and it is not tied to a visitor's identity or account.
Can I remove the "Powered by Miles Mosaic" attribution?
No. The attribution line is rendered by the embed page itself, not by anything an embed parameter controls, so there is no query string or setting that removes it.
What happens if I use an invalid programme slug in the URL?
The widget degrades to its full, multi-programme form rather than showing an error, so a typo in a blog post never breaks the embed for a reader.
Does the embedded figure ever disagree with the number on milesmosaic.com/forecast/?
No. Both run the same projection engine on the same programme rules, so the same inputs always produce the same verdict in either place.
