Full history
Announced 15 Sep 2026 · 17 Dec 2026
With Asiana Club status, from December 2026 you get the higher of your Korean Air tier and its match: Platinum to Million Miler, Diamond Plus to Morning Calm Premium, Diamond Plus (limited term) and Diamond to Morning Calm Select, Gold to Morning Calm.
Every Asiana Club elite member gets a matching Korean Air tier on 17 December 2026, whether or not they convert their miles, and keeps their existing tier period. A member who already holds a Korean Air tier keeps the higher of the two. Asiana's own elite benefits end that day; coupons and vouchers already issued stay valid until they expire. When a member converts their whole Asiana balance, Korean Air re-checks their tier on Korean Air qualifying miles plus miles flown on Asiana-operated flights (Air Busan and Air Seoul flights under an Asiana number count too), and those miles keep counting afterwards. A higher tier won that way starts a new qualification period on that day.

Announced 15 Sep 2026 · 17 Dec 2026
From 17 December 2026 you can move your whole Asiana Club balance into SKYPASS: flown miles at 1 to 1, card and other partner miles at 1 to 0.82, keeping their expiry dates. Whatever is left after 10 years moves into SKYPASS automatically.
On 17 December 2026 Asiana Club ends and each Asiana balance moves into the member's SKYPASS account as separate Asiana miles, with the same amount and expiry dates. For up to 10 years those miles still pay for Korean Air award tickets, seat upgrades, Cash and Miles and shopping, but they cannot be combined with SKYPASS miles or used for SkyTeam or other partner awards. A member can convert the whole balance at any time, once and for good: miles earned by flying (on Asiana, Star Alliance and other airline partners) at 1 to 1, card and other partner miles at 1 to 0.82, rounded up. After 10 years any Asiana miles left move into SKYPASS automatically.
