AA does not publish a fixed challenge structure. Call AAdvantage customer service (or check the app promotions tab) with proof of a competing elite status. If accepted, matched status runs four months, and you keep it into the next membership year only by hitting a Loyalty Points goal every four months: 40,000 for Gold, 75,000 for Platinum, 125,000 for Platinum Pro, 200,000 for Executive Platinum.
To keep it: Loyalty Points threshold every 4 months per tier (Gold 40k, Platinum 75k, Platinum Pro 125k, Executive Platinum 200k).
Fee: No published fee. Some past challenges carried an enrollment cost (historically cited around $200); AA does not publish a current figure. Verify at application.
